Catan - formerly known as The Settlers of Catan - is one of the most famous designer board games in history. Klaus Teuber’s simple yet engaging 1995 design blazed a new trail for modern board games to follow. The 5-6 player expansion lets you enjoy it with even more people.
Catan is a brilliant game to play with all kinds of people, but the base box limits you to three or four players. While the experience at either of these counts is fantastic, many people find themselves wishing that they could bring the game to the table with a larger group. With the expansion, that’s exactly what you can do.
So how does the 5 to 6 player expansion work? The box provides you with 11 more terrain hexes that will allow you to construct a much larger playing surface. Additional sea pieces help you to frame the new shape. On this larger board, the game plays almost identically to regular Catan.
The only further difference is that all players can build at the end of every turn, so you don’t have to nervously glance at the robber as your hand fills up with resources on five other players’ turns. This clever twist also keeps the game moving, helping to make it as fast, if not faster, than with three or four players.
Catan 5-6 player expansion contents:
- 11 terrain hexes.
- 4 sea pieces (2 with harbours; 2 without).
- 2 harbour tiles.
- 2 full sets of player pieces.
- 25 resource cards (5 of each type).
- 9 development cards.
- 2 blank cards and 1 blank hex.
- 28 numbered tokens.
The Catan 5-6 player expansion also makes it possible to play with 5-6 player extensions for some of the base game’s expansions. You can buy player extensions of Seafarers and Cities & Knights if you want to use this product to help bring those expansions to larger groups.

You may choose to cancel the order at any time up until 14 days after you have received the goods. If you chose to cancel after the goods have been dispatched, you will be responsible for all postage costs and are completely responsible for ensuring the items are returned to us in the same condition as they were received.If the returned goods are not returned in the same condition received, we withhold the right to deduct 50% from the refund cost or refuse the return outright.
To summarize you can nearly always return an unwanted Item within the 14 day period as long as it has not been opened, or used and is still in the original packaging/sealed as received. If you have opened and used it we will not be able to accept the return.
Damaged or Faulty Goods
If you Have received a faulty or damaged item you must inform us within 7 working days of receiving the item. We will then offer a suitable resolution at no cost to yourself. We do reserve the right to refuse complaints or levy appropriate charges for issues raised after this period.NOTE: Damaged cards inside blind packed products such as booster packs. In the event that a particular card is damaged inside a pack, we will only be able to replace the booster pack as being faulty (the product purchased) and not the individuals cards inside. In the rare case that this happens to you, you may benefit from contacting the manufacturer of the product for a replacement card, however they do not have any duty to fulfil this.
Other Returns
In the unlikely event that your item arrives damaged or we have made a mistake on your order or your item has suffered a manufacturing fault, then please contact us at the_boss@bossminis.co.uk
Most manufacturing faults are quickly resolved through an email to the manufacturer. If you wish to return an item in these circumstances we will cover the postage costs for your return up to standard shipping.
Pre-order Cancellations
You may cancel a pre-order for a full refund until the order has shipped, which is usually one day before official release date (On day of release for TCGs). This applies up to the point the order is dispatched. This does not apply to any price with additional discounts codes or special offers.We also reserve the right to deduct outbound postage costs from your refund should the returned goods have originally met our free postage threshold.
Should you choose to return an item for any reason other than damage / manufacturing fault and have paid postage, we will not refund the postage costs having shipped the item to you upon fulfillment.
