In Coup 2-6 players will be telling as many lies as they can get away with in order to take the reigns of power in a collapsing futuristic government. Released in 2012 by Indie Boards and Cards, this is a must have addition to any gamer who likes bluffing games.

Each player is given two face-down roles, which only they know. On your turn your face-down cards will allow you to perform various actions. For example, if you have the Duke you can take three coins from the central supply instead of one. With the roles face-down, when a player takes three coins from the supply, how do you know they really have the Duke?

If you suspect a player to be taking an action for a role they don’t have then you can call their bluff. If you call them out successfully then they will lose a life, however, if you have challenged incorrectly then you lose a life.

Any time a player gathers seven money they can perform a Coup. This is an action that cannot be stopped and will remove one players life. Timing when to perform a Coup is key to winning the game.

Most social deduction/hidden role/bluffing games improve when you play a lot with the same player group. Coup is no different, being able to spot players' tells or preferred actions is very rewarding. Players then using these tells to their own advantage is even better. If one player is known for using an Assassin early on whenever they have one, then in future games they will be able to pretend to have an Assassin without anyone challenging them.

There is player elimination in this game, but each game is over so quickly that you will not be watching others play for more than a few minutes. You are interested in the information that is yet to be revealed so you’re engaged with what’s happening after your elimination.

If you enjoy games like Cockroach Poker and Skull, then Coup will be a great addition to your collection. Learning the different roles and actions can appear daunting. Once you’ve played one 15-minute game with the player aid in front of you you’ll be stealing coins from your friends as if you actually have the cards you’re claiming to have.

Refunds


You may choose to cancel the order at any time up until 14 days after you have received the goods. If you chose to cancel after the goods have been dispatched, you will be responsible for all postage costs and are completely responsible for ensuring the items are returned to us in the same condition as they were received.

If the returned goods are not returned in the same condition received, we withhold the right to deduct 50% from the refund cost or refuse the return outright.

To summarize you can nearly always return an unwanted Item within the 14 day period as long as it has not been opened, or used and is still in the original packaging/sealed as received. If you have opened and used it we will not be able to accept the return.

Damaged or Faulty Goods
If you Have received a faulty or damaged item you must inform us within 7 working days of receiving the item. We will then offer a suitable resolution at no cost to yourself. We do reserve the right to refuse complaints or levy appropriate charges for issues raised after this period.

NOTE: Damaged cards inside blind packed products such as booster packs. In the event that a particular card is damaged inside a pack, we will only be able to replace the booster pack as being faulty (the product purchased) and not the individuals cards inside. In the rare case that this happens to you, you may benefit from contacting the manufacturer of the product for a replacement card, however they do not have any duty to fulfil this.

Other Returns

In the unlikely event that your item arrives damaged or we have made a mistake on your order or your item has suffered a manufacturing fault, then please contact us at the_boss@bossminis.co.uk

Most manufacturing faults are quickly resolved through an email to the manufacturer. If you wish to return an item in these circumstances we will cover the postage costs for your return up to standard shipping.

Pre-order Cancellations
You may cancel a pre-order for a full refund until the order has shipped, which is usually one day before official release date (On day of release for TCGs). This applies up to the point the order is dispatched. This does not apply to any price with additional discounts codes or special offers.

We also reserve the right to deduct outbound postage costs from your refund should the returned goods have originally met our free postage threshold.

Should you choose to return an item for any reason other than damage / manufacturing fault and have paid postage, we will not refund the postage costs having shipped the item to you upon fulfillment.
